The Yackandandandah Fire Brigade is a voluntary CFA Brigade of around 45 qualified fire fighters dedicated to the protection of the Yackandandah township and its surrounds (around 3,000 people).
Yackandandah is in north east Victoria (around 300km from Melbourne), around 25km south of the cities of Albury/Wodonga.

Appliances
For those with some CFA knowledge or interest, our Brigade is a part of the Bogong Group, District 24, Hume Region. We have four appliances:
- “Yackandandah Tanker” – Heavy 3.4C Tanker – 3,750 litre 4WD tanker with BA and A-class foam.
- “Yackandandah Pumper Tanker” – Medium 3.4D Pumper Tanker – 2,700 litre 4WD pumper/tanker with BA, A and B-class foam, etc.
- “Yackandandah Tanker 2” – Light 1.2D Tanker – 1,200 litre 4WD tanker with A-class foam.
- “Yackandandah Ultra Light” – Ultra Light Tanker – 400 litre 4WD brigade-owned Mazda BT-50 with slip-on unit.
- Two ‘quickfill’ trailers, a water-cart for community use and a FEM trailer.
Regular meeting schedule
- First Monday of every month (except January) – training from 7:30pm
- Second Monday of odd-numbered months – general meeting from 7:30pm
- Third Wednesday of even-numbered months – brigade management team meeting from 7:30pm
